# Rewards & Vesting

The following tutorials are from our current WIP prototype, which is currently under testing in **Goerli** **Network**. The final MVP version to be launched may have some changes. At the moment, these illustrations shown are just for informative purpose for you to understand the product and its features.

### How Vesting works  in Staking?

Staking your $RUD comes with a caveat of vesting schedule, during which a '*Staker*' cannot unstake their $RUD and withdraw. This allows the platform to smoothly operate borrowing cycles. 

Below table shows the vesting schedule for every staking duration.

| Staking Duration | Vesting Period      | Total Duration |
| ---------------- | ------------------- | -------------- |
| 3 Months         | 3 Months + 1 Year   | 15 Months      |
| 6 Months         | 6 Months + 9 Months | 15 Months      |
| 9 Months         | 9 Months + 6 Months | 15 Months      |
| 1 Year           | 1 Year + 3 Months   | 15 Months      |

You can *unstake* your $RUD from the Liquidity Pool only after the staking duration. Once your staked account enters vesting period, you have the opportunity to *unstake* your $RUD.

### **How Rewards are calculated during Vesting Period?**

Staking your $RUD gives you the opportunity to earn RADE tokens. RADE token is the platform's liquidity token.For a liquidity provider, every staked account calculates how much they should get as a reward.  

The equation used to calculate the reward is as follows:

Reward = (Stake Amount \* DYNAMIC\_REWARD\_VALUE) / Total Pool Stake Value

Here's what these terms mean:

* Stake Amount: Amount of $RUD invested or "staked" in to the liquidity pool.
* DYNAMIC\_REWARD\_VALUE: It's a fixed constant based on the protocol's performance.
* Total Pool Stake Value: The total amount of $RUD staked by all the liquidity providers in the protocol.

The Protocol will ensure that each user gets a fair share of the rewards based on their staked amount.

As illustrated above in the statistics section of your staked account, you will be able to see Actual Accrued Rewards and Forecasted Rewards.&#x20;

**Actual Accrued Rewards**&#x20;

Actual Accrued Rewards represent the actual amount of RADE Token that one will recieve once the vesting period is complete. Once the vesting period is complete, use the '*Claim Actual Rewards'* button to claim your tokens and withdraw to your wallet.&#x20;

At any point in time, you can click 'Update Actual Rewards" to calculate and update your *Actual Accrued Rewards.*

**Forecasted Rewards**&#x20;

Forecasted Rewards represents the amount of RADE tokens that you may receive. This is calculated every 24 hours.&#x20;

**Unstaking**&#x20;

Once the *staking duration* is complete, your staked account enters *vesting period*. During this time, you have the liberty to *unstake* your $RUD, but will not be eligible for any RADE tokens. Your *Stakes* should go through the respective vesting period to start accruing RADE tokens as liquidity rewards.  &#x20;

Use the *Unstake* button to unstake your $RUD and withraw.
